You should really install sbt-extras, like this:
curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/paulp/sbt-extras/master/sbt > /usr/bin/sbtx && chmod 0755 /usr/bin/sbtx
Now you can easily run the streams examples using SBT, like a boss.
